The Heritage Centre is open to visitors on Tuesdays & on the 1st Sunday of every month, from 10-3. Hand sanitisation on entry and guest register in place. Masks and restrictions as per latest advice. Group visits must be pre-booked and scheduled for alternative days. The centre is closed during lockdowns.
Our volunteers can assist with research requests on your behalf. Click on “Research Facilities” and fill in the relevant form. We will do our best to help.
Camperdown
Located in South West Victoria, Australia
Camperdown (pop. 3500)
is nestled in a picturesque volcanic landscape
and has many fine historic buildings.
The district has a fascinating history of
Aboriginal and European settlement.
Camperdown is famous for its Clock Tower
and beautiful Avenue of Elms.
Guided tours
of our heritage centre,
historic Camperdown and district,
by arrangement.
Activities (to be resumed when possible, as per health notices above).
Our Society members meet at least every second month at times and venues to best suit the occasion.
Our meetings feature some excellent guest speakers.
Regular field trips are held, sometimes to places rarely open to the general public.
Our Society also runs a ‘Heritage Centre’, featuring a museum and excellent research facilities.
Visitors are most welcome.
